The Love Poems of Marichiko

The Love Poems of Marichiko were originally published as if they had been written by a young Japanese woman and Rexroth had merely translated them. In reality there was no such person as Marichiko — the poems were all written by Rexroth himself, projecting himself into a feminine persona, during the same period that he was translating several volumes of Chinese and Japanese women poets. more.

I waited all night.
By midnight I was on fire.
In the dawn, hoping
To find a dream of you,
I laid my weary head
On my folded arms,
But the songs of the waking
Birds tormented me.

Making love with you
Is like drinking sea water.
The more I drink
The thirstier I become,
Until nothing can slake my thirst
But to drink the entire sea.

Your tongue thrums and moves
Into me, and I become
Hollow and blaze with
Whirling light, like the inside
Of a vast expanding pearl.

You wake me,

Part my thighs, and kiss me.

I give you the dew

Of the first morning of the world.

Beltane: The Tree of Life

When in the springtime of the year
When the trees are crowned with leaves
When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew
Are dressed in ribbons fair...

Beltane is one of the four "fire festivals" or "greater sabbats". Although the holiday may use features of the Gaelic Bealtaine, such as the bonfire, it bears more relation to the Germanic May Day festival, both in its significance (focusing on fertility) and its rituals (such as maypole dancing). Some Wiccans celebrate 'High Beltaine' by enacting a ritual union of the May Lord and Lady.[4]      * ( wheel of the year)

LIFE

PREGNANT WITH DESIRE

...

BY LAURA SHANLEY
ACCORDING TO ANN DOUGLAS AND JOHN R. SUSSMAN, M.D., AUTHORS OF THE BOOK THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO HAVING A BABY, A SINGLE ORGASM IS THOUGHT TO BE 22 TIMES AS RELAXING AS THE AVERAGE TRANQUILIZER. WHEN YOU ADD TO THIS THE FACT THAT THE AVERAGE VAGINA WIDENS 2" DURING SEXUAL AROUSAL, IT ONLY MAKES SENSE TO FANTASIZE, MASTURBATE OR MAKE LOVE IN LABOR. THE FOLLOWING WOMEN DID JUST THAT.

"Start with a bath to honor the African Goddess Oshun that will make you oh-so-desirable to the object of your affection. Add 1/2 cup honey to running bath water and just a dash of cinnamon. Soak for about 15 minutes and you’ll soften your skin to boot! You may prepare this bath yourself, but it’s best to when you let your partner fill the tub for you..." -Morbid outlook by Which Hazel
